It's a Child's World Now - That World of Diversion and Toys

"So long as we are children we are attracted by toys," Mahatma Gandhi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I pity our 'world of toys'.  Of course they have intruded in today's civilization. We can't imagine otherwise.
However, I see a great loss of more important endeavors for mankind, one of which is our moral values, another: decent consideration of our fellow man.
Reading the autobiography of Gandhi has been a great eye-opener. (it is online) He was a man of great moral substance.  He was not a man without mistakes made but he also learned from his wrong decisions, seemingly so in quick time.  From each mistake he learned a lesson and that is what our life is supposed to be about - learning lessons that support and help us advance and grow throughout each and every day.
Where are we today? We are on the race course of literal destruction.  Yes, we have become a world of children who only think on our next pleasurable diversion or new ways to deceive another human being.
