Look Up! Look Up! Keeping Eyes on the Sky ***

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pIEDzreYSY&feature=player_embedded#!
Frankly, I found this QUITE astounding.  Yet you know I look up at the stars often.  This though takes one's breath.

These ships were over New York three days ago.

To Pee or Not To Pee ***

http://gorges-smythe.blogspot.com/ Gorges Grouse asked his readers to pass this missive along.  So I am doing so.  I have to agree with the one who wrote this and yes, something certainly needs to be fixed.  How shall I count the ways?

Gorges post:

To Pee or Not To Pee

-This came in an email from a former college instructor of mine. I post it in case some of you have never seen it before.

I have a job.

I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes & the government

Distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, in my case,

I am required to pass a random urine test

(with which I have no problem).

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes

To people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my question:

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check

Because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on

their feet.

I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on

their BUTT - doing drugs while I work.

Can you imagine how much money each state would save

If people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?
I guess we could call the program "URINE OR YOU'RE OUT"!

Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't.

Hope you all will pass it along, though.

Something has to change in this country - AND SOON!

P.S. Just a thought, all politicians should have to pass a urine test

too!

Worth the Risk of Repeating ***

May 6th this message below I posted.  Now I've (and you and you and you?) been whapped,  um, Hacked!  Got an email recently from a fellow blogger with a long list of addresses in the TO  space, instead of the BBC space.

Last night checking mail before bedtime, I found a dozen returned emails (Huh?) returned, which I hadn't sent out in the first place.

Someone of those many addresses apparently had caught a virus, were hacked and further spread it along the electronic highway.  Now what do we do?

Smart Advice When E-Mailing

Jinksy's post at Napple Notes.

"I've noticed, many people who forward emails, do so by using a whole string of names and addresses in the 'To" slot, which is just asking for trouble, as my knowledgeable, techy son explained to me when I first began blogging and emailing.

It only needs ONE of those people to be blessed with a computer virus, and it will spread to everyone else on that list, with the speed of light!

The simple expedient of sending mail 'BCC' (blind carbon copy), prevents this annoying possibility.Think on fellow bloggers."

Good direction. I always use BCC.

Be Ever Mindful ***

The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost.  G. K. Chesterton

I have sometimes failed to be ever-mindful.

Fish Love These Golfballs ***

Now whether you know it or not, I don't play golf.  That is irrelevant/unimportant though, whether I play or not ... at anything; and I don't.  What is on top of my today's headline is this newest invention -well, maybe it isn't 'newest'; living in the backwoods, news to me travels slowly.

Edible Golfballs.  Yummy.

Seriously!  Watch this so short video; then you will believe me.  Watch DaFeeshes.

I can imagine the price for one! Uh, did you know there are hunters of golfballs who make fantastic big bucks? Yes, they do.  ah, Google that.

I know a man who took up golf when age 70 yr.   Loves it. Poor Soul; He did so to get his wife out of his hair!

Don't most golfers love nature?  Or is it the Privacy for their conversations?

Hmmph!  I wish a few of these cell-phone-talking shoppers and erratic drivers played more golf.

The Shoppers are already in top shape to whack at balls.  "Arm Speech" I call it.  Do you ever round the corner of an aisle, only to almost run over some 'nut' talking to herself and waving the "hey' out of her hands and arms?  Arm Rage.

This nextworldtv website is very worthy.  Some interesting ideas, people, inventions, "savingtheplanethelpers".  I get it via email.  I bet you will enjoy it also.

Reading Today ***

“When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.” G K Chesterton

I've checked out a couple of Chesterton's books from the local library.  One is fiction.  We'll see how it goes.

Then from my shelf I pulled " The Lost Teachings of Jesus Book 3" by Mark L and Elizabeth Claire Prophet.  So very revealing.  So very good.
