Beliefs - Important to Our Existence ***

Birth Certificate shows that we were born

A Death Certificate shows that we died

Pictures show that we live!

Have a seat. Relax . . . And read this slowly.

I Believe...

That just because two people argue, It doesn't mean they don't love each other.

And just because they don't argue, It doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...

That we don't have to change friends if We understand that friends change.

I Believe....

That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you, every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe.....

That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe...

That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe....

That it's taking me a long time

To become the person I want to be.

I Believe...

That you should always leave loved ones with Loving words.

It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe....

That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe....

That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...

That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe....

That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe....

That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time..

I Believe....

That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...

That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe.....

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself

I Believe...

That no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe....

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...

That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret.

It could change your life forever.

I Believe....

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...

That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...

That even when you think you have no more to give,

When a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...

That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...

That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...

'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

They just make the most of everything they have.

Asparagus and Cancer ***

 Asparagus -- Who knew ?

Early Morning's Yield
(Information from a friend)

My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus that she pureed and she took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she does not need to see him for 3months.

THE ARTICLE:Several years ago, I had a man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer. He gave me a photocopied copy of an article, entitled, Asparagus for cancer 'printed in Cancer News Journal, December 1979. I will share it here, just as it was shared with me: I am a biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health or over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer. Since then, I have worked with him on his project We have accumulated a number of favorable case histories.

Here are a few examples :

Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

Case No. 2 , a successful businessman 68 years old who suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he went on asparagus. Within 3months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal.

Case No. 3, a man who had lung cancer. On March 5th 1971, he was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the Asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it By August, x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared...He is back at his regular business routine.

Case No. 4, a woman who was troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She finally developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting specialist as advanced. Within 3 months after starting on asparagus, her skin specialist said that her skin looked fine and no more skin lesions. This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus.

I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of material medica', edited in 1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates! We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy.

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using, and therefore canned asparagus is just as good as fresh. I have corresponded with the two leading canners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives. Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree, and store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening. Patients usually show some improvement in 2-4 weeks. It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases. As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can prevent.' Based on this theory, my wife and I have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals. We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups. The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink. As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As are sult, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer.

Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth.. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic. In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good. It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most potent anti-carcinogens and antioxidants.

Wild asparagus

Visiting in Durham, NC a few years ago, I saw asparagus plants beside the road in an unkempt overgrown field by the roadside.  My assumption is that birds had dropped seed there and over time the plants had grown and spread.  I imagine they would be considered wild.
Shortly after this I saw asparagus roots at the local gardening center, bought a dozen, set them in soil as per directions and in time, the following year I got quite a yield daily.  Asparagus shoots grow extremely quickly, overnight even, and must be gathered early in the morning.  It doesn't take very long for the shoots to reach unedible stage, becoming tough and stringy.  Today, without tending and consideration of where I was mowing, all my plants are gone, except for one that the birds kindly "planted" for me up near the roadbank in a bramble of weeds.  Maybe I will try to dig it up this year.  It is loaded with red seed pods every fall and I'm hoping to start new plants from seed this spring.  The vegetable is very costly in the grocery store.  My grandmother raised a patch of asparagus when I was a tiny child.  I thought there was nothing on earth that tasted as good.
Asparagus is expensive in the grocery store, so it is not a staple in my diet; but I plan for it to become so now that I've gotten this good information.  I just called the local Gardening Center.  They have the roots -$7.99 a pack!  Expensive but worth it for being a perennial, they will return each spring for many years.  Let's get outside and start digging a bed!

Here Now, Let Me Help Soothe You ***

http://coyoteprime-runningcauseicantfly.blogspot.com/2012/02/musical-interlude-2002-starwalkers.html

UpDate: My apology;  Guess I should have explained a bit before whapping this one on you.  It is the background music used on the PBS series "Cosmos" with Carl Sagan a few years back.

Good to be cautious.  I most likely wouldn't have opened a "surprise package" either.  coyoteprime over on his blogsite (left column of my page) gave this to us couple days ago.

Soothing me deeply, I wanted to share the beautiful music with you.  NOW, try it.  The more I listen, the better I feel

Do You Think You Are Normal? ***

Sometimes I post one of those Cheeky Quotes that scroll by on my front page 'cause maybe you missed it.  :>)

One quote might make you laugh.  Another may make you ponder.  There are even ones that may cause you to raise your eyebrows at the simple logic. Then another may help you to steer onto a different path in your life's journey.

This particular one will tell you if you are a  n o r m a l  person.  I've always considered myself somewhat normal and now I find I'm far off the "status quo" scale! A completely abnormal specimen.  That label could mean a freak in a normal society.

So it is!  So I am!  Actually, I love my abnormal freaky status.

Normal is the term used to describe the how, what, when, where, and/or 'how come' of the majority of a population is positioned/leaning.

Are You Normal? Read the words below and then you can answer that question.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Just found this on another's blog and was so impressed with it, I just had to share with you.  Watch it.  As I told Ted on his blog, we humans are unaware of so much.  Fear is such a handicap for us.
This girl shows no fear in her actions.
