Visiting Nursing Home

Bbbrrrr.  Looks like snow but not, just a powerful frost out there.
I'm baking Carrot Cupcakes for Kathy.  She lives in a nursing home.  Today is bingo day.  She invited me but the distance is too far to arrive in time, so I won't arrive  until early afternoon.  Have to shop for a birthday gift to take her.  Last Friday she and her twin brother arrived at age 61.

My intentions are good but I'm always running late these days.

Speaking of late: !!! The cupcakes burned !!! Those in the Wilton non-stick pan.  So instead of a dozen for Kathy to share with others, she will only get a half-dozen.  Maybe she will still share some of them.

I think I may as well throw that expensive pan in the garbage.  Some things are too highly promoted, like non-stick pans.  On the other hand, maybe it's the baker?  Could be; probably is.  Certainly is; when will I learn I can't do several things at once?

 POST VISIT UPDATE

I AM KILLED! and heading to bed before sunset.  My trip today totally sapped me and I'm not worth a "plug nickel".  Looks like my days are going fast.  What next?  Probably a search for an available room at some nursing home....but surely not.  That place was a madhouse today!  The tile floors helped my spine get out of whack; seriously didn't think I'd make it home.  Poor Kathy deflated quick as a pricked balloon, wanting me to stay longer.  What a dilemma.  Cheer i o until I become semiconscious tomorrow.

I have found that I cannot multitask the way I can. Several times I have left things on the stove while I go an work the computer, only to be brought back to the present with the smell of burning food. I am afraid of a stove fire so I am more attentive of cooking food.
